PONTIANAK INFORMASI, KUBU RAYA – Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) telah menjalin sinergi yang erat dengan berbagai pihak dalam upaya pelestarian satwa liar, khususnya beruang madu. Langkah konkret yang diambil adalah melepasliarkan dua individu beruang madu betina ke habitat aslinya, yang berada di areal PT Menggala Rambu Utama (PT MRU), Kabupaten Kubu Raya.
Sekjen Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan, Bambang Hendroyono, mengungkapkan bahwa tindakan pelepasliaran ini merupakan bagian dari komitmen perusahaan untuk memelihara dan melestarikan beruang madu yang hampir punah. Dua beruang madu betina ini telah diberikan kesempatan untuk berkembangbiak di alam liar yang merupakan habitat asli mereka.
Kerjasama dalam pelestarian satwa liar ini melibatkan beberapa pihak, termasuk Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) Kalbar, Balai Pengelolaan Hutan Lestari (BPHL) VIII Pontianak, serta PT. MRU. PT MRU berperan penting dengan menyediakan areal konsesinya sebagai habitat aman bagi beruang madu. Mereka juga melengkapi beruang tersebut dengan alat pelacak satelit untuk memantau keberadaan mereka secara berkala.
“Untuk itu, pentingnya sinergi dan kolaborasi para pimpinan baik KLHK dengan Bupati Kubu Raya dan Gubernur Kalbar dalam penyelamatan satwa liar agar tidak punah. Sebenarnya ini juga komitmen kita bersama agar memperkuat,” katanya Selasa (24/1/23).
Bambang Hendroyono menegaskan bahwa kolaborasi seperti ini penting untuk melindungi satwa liar dan mencegah kepunahan mereka. Selama hutan alam masih ada, seperti hutan lindung dan hutan produksi, keberadaan berbagai satwa seperti beruang madu masih memiliki harapan untuk bertahan.
Bupati Kubu Raya, Muda Mahendrawan, menyambut baik program pelepasliaran satwa ini. Ia berharap bahwa upaya ini juga akan mempercepat komitmen perusahaan-perusahaan lain untuk menjaga keamanan area tersebut. Ancaman seperti kebakaran hutan (Karhutla) dan masalah lingkungan lainnya masih menjadi tantangan, namun dengan sinergi yang kuat, mereka berharap dapat menjaga keberlanjutan kehidupan satwa liar, termasuk beruang madu, di wilayah ini.
